I'm getting ready to start the Dukan Diet. Again.

I need to do something drastic. I started the Dukan Diet on July 1, 2012 and was losing the weight before my co-workers bought me a birthday cake. The fat girl in me screamed for it.

So I had cake. Two months later, I still haven't gotten back on track. This blog is to help me do that.

I've always been a fat girl. Always. In high school, I kept myself active to keep my weight down. But then college hit. Then marriage.

So I gained ten pounds. Times five.

Way back in 2005, I decided I had to make a change. So I went on a 1200 calorie, no sugar diet with the advice of my doctor. You know what? It worked.

Until 2007 when I had to move back to my childhood home where my mom's cooking and my mother-in-law's potato salad waited for me.

My weight ballooned back up. I should have taken the advice of a sleep doctor I saw when I started snoring. He told me I was overweight. My response?

Keep eating. I couldn't stop myself. Not after I got pregnant. And not after I had my baby in fall 2011.

By January 2012, I was still wearing my maternity clothes and I was sick of it. I wanted pants with a button. How I missed jeans! So I started Weight Watchers.

In two months, I lost less than 15 pounds. I wasn't motivated, so I stopped doing it.

The Dukan Diet was better. Even the Attack Phase wasn't horrible. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't horrible.

So starting today, right this minute, I am keeping myself accountable.

No matter what.
